Something that you see on Pinterest, Tublur, Instagram, etc. are pictures of DIY room decor. I have always looked at these and thought that I wish my room could look like that. But in the end, buying the having to gather the materials and then make it is a little time consuming. Here is boredom buster number 4. Make an easy DIY room decor. It can be one you have seen online or something you can come up with on your own. Today, I am going to share with you how to make a cute and easy decor for your room.
This decor is really easy. All you have to do is gather materials and then assemble. I went to Target and CVS to buy the things I need.
First, you will need some streamer party decor. For example:
I found mine in the party section of Target. I believe that you can make this at home as well. You will need a long piece of string, streamers or tissues paper. I think the the streamers will probably work better. Cut several foot (about 30.5 centimeters) long strands of streamer or tissues paper. If you are using tissue paper make the paper 1.75 inches or 4.45 centimeters wide. Next, fold the pieces of paper over the string, and tie it up into a knot leaving a little bit of room for the paper to slide along the string. If the paper rips, you could probably use glue/hot glue to get the two together. Lastly, grab a pair of scissors and cut the paper hanging down into even more little strings. Repeat these steps, and now, yours should look similar to mine.
Next, you will need pictures to hang up. I ordered mine on the CVS website. You could also print off some inspiring pictures or pictures you might have of you and your friends.
Lastly, I got some of these adorable miniature clothes pins. I am not clear about where I previously got them, but I am almost positive you can find these at Target or a crafts store.
I taped the streamer decor onto the wall, but you can use something else. Then, I clipped on my pictures and voila!
Voila! An easy, affordable, and cute room decor is completed. What makes this better, is I found all of these things around the house. I hope that you enjoyed this boredom buster as much as I did!
